LYO Events The results are in! Grill Out and Chill Out @ the Devores’! Sunday August 1st, 5‐10pm Bring your swimming suit and get ready for a good time! We’ll relax by the pool, enjoy food fresh off the grill, and snack on smores off the bonfire! Bring a friend and join us for a good time! What would they encounter; social situations, different kinds of people, different kinds of temptations? Join us to discuss different issues teens face in the world today; we will be listening to songs, watching movie clips, and debating a few hot button topics! Bring a friend and get ready for some deep thinking! BIG GAME EXTRAVAGANZA!!! Sunday August 15th, 8‐10pm Join us for some goofy fun as we replicate this Group Workcamps tradition! We will divide into teams to compete in a series of wild and crazy events. Bring a friend and get ready to get a little messy while having tons of fun! Bowling Night! Tuesday August 24th, Time TBA Bust out your bowling shoes and get ready to impress others with your bowling skills! Bring a friend and join us for some bowling fun! Time and Location TBA. Jessie’s Farwell Party @ the Devores’ Tuesday August 31st, 5‐10pm Come say goodbye to your summer Youth Director, Jessie Devore, as she heads off to grad school at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Bring your swimsuit and get ready to grill out next to a bonfire while re‐living your favorite youth group memories from this summer! It’s Loons Baseball Time for Cool Kids!!! Get out your baseball gloves and get ready to catch some fly balls! We will be staying afterwards for fireworks! Saturday July 31st 7:05pm ‐ Cool Kids and family Tickets are $6. Sign up and pay in the church office at least 2 days before the game. Parents ‐ we need chaperones for each game! Remember to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. ALL GROUPS ‐ Meet at 6pm before each game at the front gates of the stadium (Kids can be dropped off and picked up there ‐ pick up will be a half hour after the end of the game). Permission slips are needed for all youth events! Hurry up and sign up, spots are limited! C.O.O.L. Kids Overnight Adventure Aug 16 – 18. We will meet at the church with all our gear 8:30 am, remember to pack for a 2 night stay. We will return 4:00 pm on the Aug. 18. Fun is on the program so be prepared to have lots of it! Contact the office if you are interested in helping or want more information at 989‐631‐0692. Day Camp Extraordinaire Available to all children who have completed 1st grade thru 2nd grade. We had fun at the first camp so come back for more swimming, games and singing. We will meet at the church on August 24 at 8:30 am, and travel to the camp. Pack a lunch and plan on an adventure! We’ll be back at the church by 4:00 pm. Trinity Teens Events Strap on your helmets, we’re going for an evening bike ride! Meet at the Emerson Park entrance to the rail trail on Thursday July 29th at 7pm with your bikes and be ready to go! We will bike to Sanford Lake and have some ice cream there before heading back, so be sure to bring a few dollars with! We will return to Emerson Park around 9:30pm and the youth will be picked up at the same spot as they were dropped off. Youth ‐ Don’t forget to bring a signed permission form with you! Forms are available in the church office and on the youth board. Parents ‐ You’ll be peddling too, we need some chaperones! Contact Jessie Devore with any questions:

We will meet at the Youth Center at 5pm and drive up just in time to cook out for dinner! Then get ready for swimming, games, and fellowship with your friends! We will be back at the Youth Center by 10:30pm. Youth ‐ Don’t forget to bring a signed permission form with you! Parents ‐ We will need a few chaperones and drivers! Maybe even a boat?! Time and Location TBA. Board Game Tournament Sunday, August 15th, 5‐7pm Dust off your favorite childhood board game and bring it in! We will divide up in teams to play some classic board games and card games, and then we’ll determine who gets prizes! Bring a friend and join us for some old fashioned fun! Introducing…No Questions Asked This will be a time when I will be available in my church office simply for talking – no questions asked. We can talk about anything: something that is bothering the youth to a question about their faith. This could also be a time for adults to stop in with concerns. All discussions during this time will be held in confidence. During July the times for “No Questions Asked” will be: ‐Tuesday July 27th 4‐5pm ‐Friday July 30th 4‐5pm In August the times will change a little bit and they will be: ‐Every Tuesday before LYO events from 6:30pm‐8:00pm ‐Every Thursday from 4‐5pm
